Flux

The Diva's Weekly Challenge - Flux

This Zendala has a bit of a quirky wonky effect in the diva dance section but I actually quite like it because flux looks as though it's floating in a whirlpool.

  1. Like this. I have trouble getting some consistency in the spherical end of Maria's version. Usually end up with one that is wonky. Like the highlighting and it does have a floating effect.

  2. Beautiful on a renaissance zendala. I love your Maria Version, and thats not strange because to me you are the queen of mooka, and this version has a resemblance with mooka. Your shading is great, and I lik how you did the outer row of flukes.

  4. Interesting that you concentrate on Maria's version - I always love your Mooka, so it's no surprise really that you make this Flux look so effortless and perfect! I prefer Rick's version. (I've just read Didisch's comment! We have written almost the same - it MUST be true!)

  6. The colors are gorgeous...and what is life without a little "wonkiness"? Very, very beautiful zendala!

  8. it really is floaty. i like the effect of the slightly rounded corners of the fluke in your background. It's the fluke that makes it seem whirlpooly to me...like a grid, and water flowing down into it, with flux plantlets floating on top. Pretty coloring, too

  9. This is so beautiful! Pinterest knew I would like it and gave it to me before even looked at it here! The way you made the "sprigs" so consistent is really amazing, and the balance of color with black to set it off really makes it pop!

  10. The thing I love about your creation is how the Diva Dance embraces Flux with the Flukes tangle on the other side. Your color work is beautiful as usual...really makes me want to try those pens.

  11. winner. I like the way the color of your wood table brings out the color in your tile... coincidence? I think not. ;)

  13. I'm in awe, as is so often the case. I don't know how you do it but even though I barely aspire to your standard, you make me want to try. Lovely.

  14. This really balances the light feeling of Flux with the heavier squared off areas on the edge and the Diva Dance inside.
